The Building and Planning Department is responsible for the building and safety standards for the design, construction, use, and occupancy, of all buildings and structures within the City of Bradenton Beach. PRE-PLAN MEETINGS: CAN BE SCHEDULED AS EITHER ON-SITE OR IN OFFICE APPOINTMENT BY CALLING THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT. PLEASE SUBMIT ANY DOCUMENTS FOR PREVIEW BY THE BUILDING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT BY ELECTRONIC MEANS SUCH AS EMAIL OR FAX PRIOR TO THE PRE-PLAN MEETING.
PERMITTING : TRADE CONTRACTORS OF ELECTRICAL, GAS, PLUMBING AND MECHANICAL CAN SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR PERMITS ONLINE USING THE CITIZENSERVE ONLINE PORTAL. ALL APPLICATIONS RECIEVED VIA EMAIL OR HAND DELIVERED WILL BE ENTERED INTO THE ONLINE SYSTEM WITHIN TWO BUSINESS DAYS. ONCE THE APPLICATION DOCUMENTATION IS DEEMED COMPLETE BY THE PERMIT INTAKE TECH IT WILL BEGIN THE REVIEW PROCESS. APPLICATIONS MAY BE REVIEWED FOR ZONING, STORMWATER, FLOODPLAIN AND BUILDING CODE COMPLIANCE AS DETERMINED BY THE SCOPE OF WORK BEING COMPLETED. ONCE ALL REVIEWS ARE COMPLETE AND ANY DEFICIENCIES ARE MET BY THE APPLICANT, THE APPLICATION IS RETURNED BACK TO THE PERMIT TECH FOR A FINAL COMPLETNESS CHECK AND THE CONTRACTOR IS NOTIFIED VIA EMAIL THAT THE PERMIT IS READY FOR FINAL PAYMENT AND ISSUANCE.
